Happy 38th Birthday to My Favorite Guy!

It's hard to believe another year has flown by, but I'm so glad we got to mark Mike's 38th birthday with two perfect celebrations!

His actual birthday was all about our little family, and it was filled with so much warmth and sweetness.

The kids, of course, stole the show with their very enthusiastic rendition of "Happy Birthday" after our special dinner.

The cake was a delicious apple caramel cake!

After dinner, we headed outside for one of his favorite simple pleasures: a night around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and making messy, gooey s'mores.

It was a reminder that some of the best memories are made in the backyard, laughing with the people you love most.

A week later, we extended the celebration with his wonderful family. The menu was all his classic comfort favorites: ham loaf and Lima beans—a true taste of home. And since he'd already had his cake, we went with his absolute favorite for dessert: a creamy, perfectly spiced pumpkin pie.

38 is a great number, and I'm so proud of the man you are. You're the best husband, the greatest dad, and my favorite person to make s'mores with. Here's to another year of adventures with the kids! Happy Birthday, my love!
